How Goldreward is funded
Goldreward.io operates without a paywall, without a gated newsletter and without any paid subscription tier. Nearly all of the work published here is financed through affiliate commissions. When a reader follows one of our outbound links, opens an account with the listed operator and begins to play, that operator may pay Goldreward a referral fee. The fee is drawn entirely from the operator's own marketing budget, and it does not add or subtract a single unit of currency from your deposit, your stakes or the balance you eventually withdraw. Where more than one welcome offer is on the table, the promotion you claim through our link is never a reduced version of what a visitor arriving directly at the casino would receive.
Every page on Goldreward that carries affiliate links shows a short notice near the top of the page, linking back to this document for the full explanation. The outbound buttons themselves also carry the technical tagging recognised by modern browsers, in accordance with guidance issued by the major search engines and consumer protection authorities.
Ranking positions cannot be purchased
We state this point plainly, because it sits at the heart of our editorial integrity: affiliate commissions have no bearing on the position an operator holds in our rankings, and they are structurally incapable of exerting one. A commercial rate is negotiated with an operator on a single occasion, and that rate remains fixed whether the operator sits at the top of a table, at the bottom of it, or is removed from the table altogether. If an operator fails one of our six scheduled retests, its position falls. If an operator has never paid Goldreward a single cent, and the testing supports inclusion, the listing is granted on that basis alone.
In practice, the policy produces several visible outcomes. In more than one market we have turned down the highest commercial rates on offer because the underlying testing did not justify a position. Operators are removed the moment their payouts, terms or customer support begin to deteriorate, and the reason for the removal is stated on the page. A position that was earned through independent testing cannot be reclaimed at a later date by an operator offering a more generous commercial rate.
Several listed operators pay us nothing
Not every casino that appears on Goldreward.io is an affiliate partner. Our tables include three distinct categories of operator:
- Affiliate partners. A standard commercial arrangement, a fixed referral fee and no bearing whatsoever on the scoring process. This category covers the majority of the entries on the site.
- In-house programmes we have chosen not to join. Certain operators run their own affiliate schemes rather than working through a recognised network. Where we have opted against signing up to those schemes, the operator remains eligible for inclusion whenever it earns a listing on the merits.
- Networks we decline to work with. A small number of networks operate under commercial terms we are not willing to accept. Operators tied exclusively to those networks pay Goldreward nothing, and continue to qualify for a listing on merit alone.
The principle is straightforward: the column that records who pays us the most and the column that records who ranks the highest are two entirely separate columns in our internal records, and neither is ever allowed to influence the other.
What commercial income can and cannot buy
- We will accept a fixed, clearly disclosed affiliate commission on qualifying outbound sign ups.
- We will not trade a ranking position, an inflated score or a softened conclusion for any payment.
- We will not publish undisclosed sponsored articles or advertorial content presented as though it were an editorial review.
- We will not withhold or dilute critical reporting in return for improved commercial terms.
